“Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own.” (1 Corinthians 6:19)

Wodaabe people value beauty above all things and will go to great links to attain desirable attributes such as white eyes and white teeth. Many Wodaabe believe that the egret has supernatural powers. The Wodaabe will catch egrets and cut off the neck and cheeks of the bird to create a paste that is applied to their teeth to whiten and to appease the spirits.

Father, we pray the Wodaabe people would seek to please God alone and no longer place their value in beauty or praise of men. We pray that the Wodaabe would choose to submit their lives to Jesus who looks not at the outward appearance, but at the heart. Father, please send Your Spirit to dwell in the Wodaabe and teach them of You.
